A loop through (mostly) Tyendinaga township from Napanee to Lime Lake then west to Chisholm's Mills on the Moira River and south along the river towards Belleville before heading back east to Napanee. Mostly quiet scenic (wooded) county roads with variable paved surfaces; two hard-packed gravel segments (3.0 km and 2.7 km) easily traversed on road bikes; often undulating especially on minor local roads with a long challenging climb on Desoronto Rd north of the Salmon R. crossing (after an exhilarating descent to the bridge). Watering holes and snacks available at Blessington while a short 3 km detour from Latta would take us to the Maple Dale Cheese shop if desired.
START LOCATION: Napanee Municipal Parking Lot on Water Street adjacent the Waterfront River Pub
START TIME: 08:30
FINISH TIME: approx. 14:00
DISTANCE: 105 km
EQUIPMENT/supplies: road bike recommended; an extra water bottle may be good; snacks
PACE/DIFFICULTY: Moderate to challenging with regular re-grouping to accommodate all levels; no one left behind!
