The forecast is for "mainly sunny" on Monday. We'll sally forth in the sun (hopefully!) from Sydenham onto the "upsie downsie" of the Bedford Road, up to Desert Lake, and then return back past the Holleford meteor crater (Wikipedia article). 

Click here to see the three route options. It's likely that most of us will choose the 47.2 km option which adds in the nice climb on Jamieson Rd. The 38.5 and 58.8 km options are for any folks wanting either a few less or a few more kilometres. The starting location will be the large parking lot at Loughborough Public School in Sydenham. Click here for directions.

The new Covid restrictions limit public gatherings to a maximum of five persons. If more than five persons wish to participate in this ride, there will up to three separate groups -  Group 1, Group 2, or Group 3. Each group will have a KVC qualified ride leader.

• Group 1 will park in the NE corner of the parking lot, and stay apart from Groups 2 and 3. The parking lot is approximately 50 metres by 70 metres, and should be largely empty since Monday will be a school holiday. Thus, there will be absolutely no need to get close to Group 2 or Group 3. Click here to see a Google maps aerial view of the parking lot. 
• Group 2 (if created) will park in the SE corner of the parking lot, and stay apart from Groups 1 and 3.
• Group 3 (if created) will park in the SW corner of the parking lot, and stay apart from Groups 1 and 2.

In order to make the groups appropriately compatible, there may be some swapping of riders between the groups before entering the parking lot. Please be 100% respectful of this format and the other Covid restrictions. As an organization with a public profile, it's clearly important that we be fully compliant with both the spirit and the letter of the law.
