The Wednesday forecast is calling for sunny with a high of 18 - a lovely fresh day to start the 2021 gravel growling season! We'll be exploring some of the gentler gravel growling terrain west of Highway 38, including the interestingly named "California Rd". Click here to go to the RWGPS route page.

Given the distance, surface conditions (including on the downhills), minimal winds, temperature, and the time of year, and depending on who you ride with, you can expect the required effort for the ride to be between solid and hard.

The starting location will be the large parking lot at the Frontenac Community Arena just north of Verona. Click here for directions.

The new Covid restrictions limit public gatherings to a maximum of five persons. Thus, this ride will be comprised of two separate groups -  Group 1 and Group 2. Group 2 will go at a slightly slower pace than Group 1. Please register for Group 1 or Group 2 accordingly.
  • Group 1 will park in the NW corner of the parking lot, and stay apart from Group 2. The parking lot is quite large, and should be largely empty since the rink is not currently functional. Thus, there will be absolutely no need to get close to Group 2. Click here to see a Google maps aerial view of the parking lot.
  • Group 2 will park in the SE corner of the parking lot, and stay apart from Groups 1.
In order to make the groups appropriately compatible, there may be some swapping of riders between the groups before entering the parking lot. Please be 100% respectful of this format and the other Covid restrictions. As an organization with a public profile, it's clearly important that we be fully compliant with both the spirit and the letter of the law.
