RWGPS Route Links
The Routes We'll start in Gananoque this week, and head out into the lovely rural countryside to the north east of Gananoque. We'll then drop down to the shores of the mighty St. Lawrence and return to Gananoque.
Car Pooling Please consider!
Post Ride Refreshments We'll head into the Pistachio Cafe. It's about 100 metres from the final turn into the Pine St parking lot. The cafe has a lively outdoor patio! See the map below for how to access the cafe from the rear.
Safety/Ride Preparation
- Safety Matters Familiarize yourself with everything under the "Safety Matters" tab
- Lights Use front and rear lights
- Group Riding Communicate your movements (including speed changes) and any obstacles
- No Wheel Overlapping Just don't do it!
- Passing Always on the left, and call it out (typically, "on your left")
- Traffic Laws Obey them!
- Things to Bring
- cell phone (if available), with the app "what3words" installed
- copy of the route (downloaded to a mobile device or printed)
- spare tube, pump and tool kit
- sufficient hydration and nutrition
- health card and document showing address and emergency contact information
