Slow as Molasses (Tuesday)
THE SLOW AS MOLASSES RIDES
A leisurely weekly ride of 30 to 40km (group consensus) with a coffee/ice cream break in the middle for most rides.
This ride is ideal for those new to cycling or those getting back in the saddle after a few years away. Most rides will be either on the K&P or Cataraqui Trail. A few rides will feature a trail further afield keeping within an hour and a quarter drive from Kingston. We will avoid riding on the road. Although a short portion may require a road to get to refreshment establishment. Pace will be 10 to 18 km/hour (some members may ride on their own a little quicker).
As most of our rides are out and back, there will be an option to turn around earlier and shorten the ride. We may also be able to accommodate a longer ride based on the group consensus at the start and the availability of a second leader.
