A loop on mostly quiet county roads from the historic bridge at Furnace Falls in Lyndhurst past the Old Stone Mill in Delta and on to the Kilmarnock Lock on the Rideau to Merrickville. Return via more southerly roads to Athens (Gord's favourite doughnut stop) and on back to Lyndhurst.
START LOCATION: Furnace Falls Park, on the left just over the bridge in Lyndhurst
START TIME: 08:30
FINISH TIME: approx. 14:30
DISTANCE: 120 km
EQUIPMENT/supplies: road bike recommended; liquids etc. available at Toledo (km 31), Jasper (km 45), Merrickville (km 60), Athens (km 102).
PACE/DIFFICULTY: Moderate to challenging with regular re-grouping to accommodate all levels; no one left behind!
WEATHER ALERT: 30% probability of rain all day; suggest carrying a rain jacket.
